I had only worn fake lashes once, they stayed in place and looked fine, but they were so heavy and uncomfortable, the glue drove me nuts and my eyes felt sleepy. I swore I’d never wear them again! Then I saw Tati Westbrook review Lash Liner (she’s also from Seattle, shoutout!) and decided to give them a try.
OMG THEY’RE AMAZING. They’re light, they STAY all day/night and they look beautiful. I bought the Los Angeles lashes, loved them, so I bought the Seattle lashes, loved them too, now I have the Chicago and the Nashville lashes on the way. I can’t wait!
Seeing as I had never applied fake lashes on myself (the one time I wore them they were applied by a makeup artist), I thought I’d struggle. I did a little, but I had them on in less than 10 minutes. I’m not great with liquid liner as it is, so my first attempt was not the most beautiful line, but the lashes attached perfectly and felt very secure. I was surprised at how light they are, I thought the magnets would make them heavier but they don’t. They’re much lighter weight than the fake lashes I wore before. I barely noticed I had them on!
Pro tip: (because I consider myself a lash pro now, who knew!) use regular eyeliner if you’re doing a cat eye or wing, then (before applying the Lash Liner) hold the fake lash up to your lash line. I “dot” the Lash Liner along my lash line where the magnets will be. Then I apply the top lashes and use the anchors on the corners (for extra security). I usually use the other anchors too in the middle, it makes my lashes blend right into the fake ones. Using a regular eyeliner and just dotting on the Lash Liner makes last a long time.
I’d recommend either getting the Lash Liner makeup remover, or use olive oil on a cotton swab because it can be stubborn to remove. Remember not to tug on your eyes! Gently roll the cotton swab repeatedly until it’s gone.
I love this system so much, I can’t say enough good things! Never thought I’d be a lash wearer!
